Utilizing these integrated range of modalities, each session is personally mapped to every client’s needs and may include:
Deep Tissue: Releases deeper muscular tension and dysfunction; more detailed work to unwind and stretch fascia and deep muscular tissue.
Swedish Massage: A relaxing and calming modality, using long smooth strokes, kneading and vibrational strokes; calms the nervous system, increases blood and lymph circulation, and soothes sores muscles.
Assisted Functional Stretching: While gaining a purchase on soft tissue, the client is directed into a variety of motions, to stretch the muscle while in action. An efficient opening of muscular tension through functional motion.
Structural Integrative Balancing: balances and integrates the body’s structures through deeper detailed soft tissue work, positional and functional stretching; gentle body rocking and long smooth strokes help calm the nervous system and to absorb the work. Helps stimulate neuro-plasticity, creating new neuro-pathways, facilitating in neuromuscular changes.
Trigger Point Work: Holding and releasing points of stuck tension within the muscle.
Temporal-Mandibular Joint work - TMJ or Jaw Work
Approaching the temporal-mandibular joint, or TMJ, both externally and inter-orally, helping release the tight muscles supporting the jaw. Although uncomfortable, this technique can greatly relieve the pain, dysfunction and misalignment caused by a gripping, grinding jaw.
